They do have one like that, Its controlled off of boost. When there is a certain psi of boost, the cutout is opened.
But there were no noticable gains over just having the cutout open, all it does is cause the motor to wear faster.
Hmm I would think it would help on the low end. I heard (when it first came out) the evo had something similar inside the factory exhaust. Of course that was what the dlr said so it means less then the value of a 350z
but in all seriousness i never heard anything about that again I thought it was cool but at the same time dumb because everyone would end up changing it.
