yeah it will be more forgiving, and I'm sure you know how it works, but either way when they are operating at a rate that they aren't meant to that will put so much stress on them and then after a while, kiss them goodbye. Now if you had coilovers where you could make adjustments or shocks/struts that could handle the spring, well thats a different story. I mean for some people it might work, others it didn't or its a ticking time bomb. I just personally would not go or recommend that route
It's like the 225's on the stock wheel issue. Will it work? sure, is it ideal? not so much.
