Posted it on our local board, too.

Yesterday, I dropped my 9-month old off at my wife's job, and headed to the airport to pick up my parents.
I was getting onto the 51 south from Thomas, which is one of those 3-lane on-ramps, where 2 go onto the freeway, and 1 becomes an access road. So, as I turn right from a red light onto this long on-ramp, the Goat right behind me swings wide to the left to get around me, accelerating hard as he does so. Now, there's traffic a little ways up ahead of us heading for the freeway, and I have this complex about being passed, especially by people doing so in a very aggressive manner.
I'm in my low boost mode (15 psi, the wastegate spring), so I figure at least I won't spin as bad, and hammer it hard in 2nd. Sure enough, GRIP!
The Screaming Silver Death machine howls it's 4-banger anger out the dump tube as Mr. Gonna-Blow-By-You stays on it to fly by the little annoying Neon.
Not today, buddy, not today. He did a marvelous job of staying close, but a 2-3 WOT shift (thank you, WOT box!) was the nail in the coffin lid.
Felt good. :smile1:
