If you did something like that, how hard would it be to specify what amount of boost you wanted in each gear ( or at least 1st, 2nd, and the rest together)? I would think you'd need to make that easily changed by the user, so they could run more in the lower gears at the track on slicks, and less on the street.
Well, it would be very easy to specify what amount of boost you'd want in each gear. I'd imagine storing two sets of configurations so that the user could swap between a street and strip mode. I'd probably put more than one button and at least a two digit LED display. The single button interface I've made for the Toybox 2.0 is slightly awkward, but I think it is reasonable for settings that are not often changed...
