I think the wait will be well worth it. I was going to launch the product with the speed sensor based DAB, but then I had some ideas and went looking on the OBD bus... Now we have RPM, MPH and MAP... That will make our gear detection algorithm much better.
Unfortunately, it seems like the rear wheel speed was a red herring. Once I improved my data collection it turned out to be just another copy of the front wheel speed sensor.
Oh well... Maybe some other time...
But anyway, I have a few more tricks up my sleeve... I'll let you know what they are once I confirm they work.
