Thats what had happed with mine, It went outward instead of downward. I guess its just hit or miss with these garage door seals.
i think its in the way you place the tape, the thread starter put up an image of where the tape should be, did you put it on that way?
Notice on mine where the little lip is and where the tape is placed. I used to softer stuff, but wish i would have used the harder stuff.
