It needs to still be there AND still be connected to the PCM. The PCM provides the pull-up circuit. If for some reason that isn't possible, then we can instruct you how to wire a resistor on the clutch switch, or we can install an extra resistor for you in your WOT Box. There is a provision for it, but it is not populated.

However, I have heard of customers using the WOT Box with the AEM EMS, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
