Yes, you've got it right. All of the basic functionality will be there. Turning the box on and off and setting the kill time. You should be able to install it and be running in no time.
The advanced stuff with the user interface will be developed later. But, there's no need to worry since you'll be able to easily upgrade the firmware yourself. We'll post the files on our website. It will be a simple procedure. Just plug in the provided serial cable to your laptop (or desktop if you have one nearby), start the car and with a few clicks it will install the latest software.
The main idea is to start shipping with the basic set of software so that people can start using the WOT Box right away. You can also help give us feedback on what features you'd use in the windows software or how to make the box work better.
The basic software has been out there running for almost 2 months now and it's been working great on our test cars. So we think that software will be sufficient for nearly everyone. There are still some minor things we want to work out with some advanced setups, like 2-step launchers, and other cars, but all of that will be included in future releases.
But anyway, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't want to put this on your car right now and start using it.
