It sounds correct the way you have it, but something is not right. fuses blow when there is an overload, short or mis-wire. Make sure that there are not any wires touching something.

if worse comes to worse and you cant figure this out, I'm going to have you send the unit back to me. I know thats the last thing you want to do, so I strongly suggest looking at this closer.

Try putting a 10 or 12 AMP fuse in it and see what happens. I can tell you the 7A fuse is the same one that everyone else has, so I am stumped.
