Default Just to follow up...the clutch really was "bad"

Just picked up my car from Modacar. Actually, it was ready yesterday evening, but I had already rented a Ford Minivan so I decided to wait until this morning to pick up my car.

A big thanks to all the folks at Modacar for getting the whole job done properly and within the time committment (1-day). Special thanks to Jay whom I understand did most of the work and of course Casey, both Jedi Masters in my book. Casey agreed with me that using brand new flexplate/clutch bolts was definitly a good idea and cheap insurance - threads stretch and it's best to use nice new Mopar bolts with the green Loktite. Casey also told me our T850 tranny is really heavy so I'm glad I didn't try to do this job myself.

So now my clutch feels great again. If anything, the pedal effort is a little softer than before. And now I have to let out the clutch pedal a good ways before it starts to bite (unlike the immediate bite it had before).

Best of all, I can put it into reverse after a long drive...without turning off the motor.

So now I'll get an alignment at Les Schwab, break in the clutch for 500 miles, and hopefully enjoy another 3 years or 45k miles...or more.

Tonight, I'll try and post some pics of the old Mopar Performance clutch and TOB which had been in the car previously.
