Is this something we can look forward to as a future product? I haven't seen one yet for the SRT.

Well you should have. Chuck includes his Rod Brakes on every Maddog STS that he sells. If you were looking for a stock shifter with this feature, you could order the Rod Brakes separately and modify your shifter OR I'm sure that Chuck could work something out and add them to a stock length shifter.
