HOW-TO: Remove Engine

This would be with/without a Lift.

This is how I've done it 8-10 times now. With no lift.

Remove Hood.

Drain Fluids Tranny/Coolant/Oil (only if replace oiling parts)

Remove Battery/Battery tray 10mm (4 bolts)/13mm (2 bolts front/back)
Remove front Facia 8mm headlights (4 bolts)/top/bottom facia bolts (3 top/5-6 on the bottom/ 3 10mm under headlights on each side. torx15 for the fender wells.
Remove Intercooler Piping 8mm/13mm holds Hotside pipe to oilpan
Remove Intake Manifold 10mm (5 bolts)/15mm (2 bolts)(Holds Manifold to tranny)
Remove starter (easier to get to Crank sensor clip) 15mm (3 bolts)/13mm 1 nut to get wiring off of starter.
Radiator fans 10mm (3 bolts) /Radiator 10mm (4 bolts 2 up top and make sure you get the two lower ones)
Upper/Lower radiator hoses
Belts 15mm for tensioner push towards back of car to loosen/belt
Power steering pump 13mm There is one bolt that holds the lines for the pump to the block it is 15mm also under the car there are two 15mm bolts under the 13mm bolts that hold the lower intercooler pipe on.
A/C compressor 13mm Make sure radiator and intercooler are off the car.
Axles Axle nuts 32mm??,21mm for the strut bolts/10mm for the brake brackets 13mm for the passenger side axle-shaft extension
Front bracket that holds A/C Compressor on as well as bracket that holds Tranny mount on 15mm/13mm
Remove shift selector cables and bracket that holds it to the Tranny 18MM

Remove all wiring. Radiator Fans/Alternator 2 wires/o2 sensor/Thermostat/A/C Compressor x 2/ Knock sensor/Starter x 2/Crank sensor/Cam Sensor/Coil/TPS/IAC/cold side connector/Also remove slave cylinder.

Power steering pump can but pulled out of the way under the car. A/C compressor can be tied up out of the way.

Use a chain and bolt one in the front of the motor below knock sensor other one on rear of engine on back of block. Get tension on the chain with engine hoist.

Remove the 4 motor mounts. Top mount 18mm/Bottom mount 21mm/Tranny mount 15mm/18mm and support bracket 13mm/ Center swivel mount TORX-55

Lift motor/tranny/turbo system out angling the tranny side down and passenger side up in the air.

Goes back in the same way.

How does everyone do it with a lift.. I'm sure it is much easier.. remove all wiring.. put something to hold motor... remove mounts and drop onto crate raise car and done..

Any other ways it can be done..
