because the event does not depend on Ekools servers to keep information flowing to the registrants. It's not fair to Ekool to use his bandwidth for one thing, and when we need a change, like changing the name of this forum to "2007" we can do it.
Also, there is more to the event forums than a place for registrants to ask questions, there are planning committee forums, volunteer forums, BoD forums, sponsor forums... We can't ask Ekool to provide us with the private forums we need to make the event happen.
As the event grows beyond the Neon, to include more of the LX platform, the truck platforms, the Vipers, and the race teams, we need a single place to communicate from. SRTforums is a great way to reach the Neon owners, but it doesn't reach the Magnum owners, or the Viper owners. Now we don't have to keep track of all 60 or so forums that we know of that are dedicated to the Modern Mopar vehicles.
