Plus there were plenty of people using the fidanza flywheel with these clutches. Well I put that in and broke it in again. The car held power, but for some dumb reason the car would NOT allow me to shift the car at high rpm. There was no WOT shifting...just push in clutch and attempted to put in gear. It didnt grind at all....just wouldnt go period. Sooo I contacted them and they had me send it in for inspection. I was told the cover needed to be replaced, disk recovered, and flywheel resurfaced. I thought flywheel resurfaced....but whatever just do what has to be done to fix the issue. I get the assembly back and install.....now I cannot put the car into ANY gear. I go through 3 sets of slave and master cylinders to no success. I ended up cutting and making a longer slave cylinder rod to see if this helps. It allows me to now at least shift the car, but I am disappointed. I contact CM yet again and they send me a brand new assembly with there flywheel. I install it and it shifts like butter now. I still have some more miles to put on it before I go stomping on the gas so not sure how the shifting will be just yet. I have spent a good amount of money already to the point I could have gotten a twin disk clutch by now.
Modular assembly - $800
Fadanza Flywheel - $350
New parts to balance and fix - $250
A whole new assembly - $230(for there flywheel)
Grand total $1630 I have spent thus far. I still have absolutly no idea as to why my fidanza flywheel didnt work. It was fine before it was sent to them...when I got it back I couldnt put it into any gear

Oh well its all working now.
Kevin,
As for the Fidanza Flywheel matching up to our clutch kit, like I told you before, there is no guaranty that the SRT4 clutch system will work properly when matched with other products. Now you might say that we sell some of our flywheels separately, which is true, but you have to remember that the SRT4 clutch assembly is originally a modular unit meaning that the kit comes complete with a flywheel. This is why we can not guaranty our re-designed, non-modular clutch assemblies will work properly with another companies re-designed, non-modular flywheel, there is just too many variables and different tolerances used between companies. Sounds a little confusing I know, but basically you can only match different flywheels with our clutch kits without voiding the warranty if that particular stock application has a non-modular clutch assembly where the flywheel and clutch kit are separate components.
My point is that instead of me getting technical with the warranty and what not, I just wanted to help you get your shifting issues resolved asap with as little hassle as passable. Unfortunately there was more hassle than we both thought there would be.
If I remember right, your shifting issues came right when you switched to the Fidanza flywheel, that is when we agreed to try and match your CM kit with your Fidanza flywheel. We set and balanced the entire unit until it was working properly on the testing bench, but still no worky in your car, hmmm? So after that we agreed to give you a brand new non-modular clutch kit, free of charge, and a brand new CM aluminum flywheel at our cost to hopefully fix the problem once and for all, which it seems it did.
Sorry for the reply Kevin, I just wanted to clarify a little more because, (maybe it's just me), but you didn't sound like you were completely happy with our customer service concerning your issue when I think we went above and beyond to get your shifting issues resolved.
