both the fuel restriction (aka spoolboy) mod and the fuel pump rewire have been used to combat running lean up top. if you do the restriction mod, you HAVE to run an aftermarket regulator/ return line, but it uses -6 line from th pump itself to the stock fuel line, which cuts out the restriction in the stock FPR. as for the stock look (i'm going for the same thing being in cali as well) that can make it difficult, but that's why i want to mount it by the tank. when i get it all figured out, and actually installed i'll take pics
man i need to take some pictures, i mounted my regulator under the stock airbox, granted the bottom of the box is cut off. I did the spoolboy mod, pump rewire, 255 in tank, -6an to the rail. now adding a inline 255 for a bit more play room with fuel. car looks stock under the hood though. i will try to get some shots this weekend.
if you look at the stock pump regulator you will see the restriction, it tapers to 1/8th inch. i feel much better with -6AN.
