the more i read into the PCV system and check valves, the more varying stories i get..
I am a Stratus owner and have just finished rebuilding my engine with mostly SRT4 parts...Pistons, Rods, Rings, Oil setup (pump, pan, cooler, ect..), Water pump, Tensioner, Idler...And I'm capping it off with a Super20G turbo with a wastegate that pulls a minimum of 10psi w/o a MBC..
So before I put this motor in, I'm gonna need to hammer out these small little details.
I now have the SRT4 valve cover and am trying to understand it. My stratus one had 2 hose nipples, one of which had a PCV valve in line. It looks like the SRT4 PCV goes right in the cover?
The Stratus performance guy that hooked me up with the turbo (Rich from Dreamspeed) told me to just put a vacuum cap on the PCV valve and put a catch can between the filter side of the turbo and the nipple on the valve cover...No Check Valves or anything. I trust him because he's done some brilliant things with this car but that seemed off to everything else I've ever heard..
So my question is how do I go about this? Keep in mind, I don't have anything but a bare valve cover right now...No PCV valves...Nothing. Although I do have a very large box of all sizes of vacuum lines..
