I think you meant AWD...but try racing a turbo-back/tuned STi from a roll, you'll realize that they're really not that bad from a roll like you think. They can turn their differential control to the rear as much as possible (60-40 I think) to help eliminate a little drivetrain loss, and they're pretty good from a roll at that point.

For reference, my friend has a turbo-back/tuned STi, and he trapped right over 108 mph in the quarter. Oh, and that was a 12.9 pass.

um.... drivetrain loss is what is is. no matter which set of axels as more of the power. it will always add up to 100% in end.
