issues: Roof doesn't work. Gets power, just doesn't open. wheels are chipping a little, and have some curb rash from the original owner. Typical issues with an 8 year old car.

I don't want to be lowballed, but I know neons don't hold resale for anything. I will take OBO though. I'm not going to get rid of this for anyone, but there is a local kid thinking about buying it, and I'd rather someone that I know would take good care of the car. It is garaged every winter, and garaged nearly every time the weather is bad (washed and waxed it yesterday, and it's inside for all the rain now ).

I have more pics upon request. Thanks for looking.

I've been thinking about selling for a while now, but I finally got around to posting it up this week after talking to my family about it. And hopefully I have a good reason for why, but I'll still be sorting that out for a while. As I said though, this is OBO.

Also, I have an SRT-4 clutch (resurfaced) that will be included in the buy which are easily good for 300+whp, and if I win the bidding on them I will be including 2 refurbished motor mounts.

I will be out of the country from May 12th-27, but PM me and I should be able to get back to you during that time, but may not be as rapidly as I usually can.

This is probably one of the most fun vehicles I've ever driven, and I did have big plans for it this summer. I, however, realized that I need something with 4 doors, and something I can drive year round without feeling guilty. This car hasn't seen winter in 2 years, and is garaged as often as possible. It will remain in the garage until I come back from Ireland.

I want something that will hold some value unlike neons. SRT-4's are very quick, and in my opinion are way better looking than the caliber, but I won't buy a used one because they are typically beaten to shit, and I want something that in 3 years won't be worth under 10k.

Anyways, like I said I'm leaving for Ireland in about 4 hours, so If anyone is interested it may be a little bit more difficult to get ahold of me. I will respond to PMs, but it may take a little bit longer than normal.

Like I said before, this is OBO. I've brought the price to 5,000 regardless, but it is still OBO.

Anyways, someone PM'ed me so I figured I'd show everyone else what I showed him.

hi,
I saw your post about your neon for sale and might be interested.
Ive got a 98 RT, which just blew a spark plug this past weekend. Depending on the descision I come to about mine, i may be looking to buy another neon very soon.
I was wondering what other pics you had of the car, and whereabouts you are in MA. I'm in central CT.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am located about 15 minutes from Boston, and my house is 5 minutes off of I95. Depending on what part of Central CT, I'd suggest 95N all the way up, or 84>90E>95S. It shouldn't take more than 1 1/2 hours. I drive from Sacred Heart (Fairfield) and it only takes me a little over 2 hours.
kind of a bad pic of the gauges, but you get the idea... That's before I got the S-AFC2.

Diamond Clear headlights and turnsignals.

There is a decent picture of the exhaust. The exhaust is as follows: Fast Fabs longtube Header>cat>2.5" piping>glasspack>camaro style muffler. I found that this is the best sounding setup, along with still being free-flowing. The setup alone cost me over $600. That picture is from the summer of 2004. I went to the track 3 times that summer, and once in 2005. The car ran 14.5@99, with the tires that are on the car currently (Pirelli P400 185/65/14).

Dynosheet of n/a and nitrous. This was in the winter of 2004/2005.

All of the runs. As you can see it runs a bit lean, but that is with the stock fuel pump and injectors. My next mods were going to be drag radials ($100 for BFG T/A's and snowflake wheels, I can point you in the right direction), spoolboy modded canister, and I have a set of S1 SRT injectors laying around somewhere (which would be great for supporting a top-end rebuild).
I do not have any recent pictures of the motor, because i haven't had the time to really detail it. I planned on detailing it sometime this summer, along with powdercoating a lot of parts. It runs perfect, and has no[/]b problems with sputtering, stalling, etc.
"The Bad"
-There is a CEL, which are: Battery replaced within the last 50 keyon/offs, and also evap. purge solenoid. I have not replaced the evap, but it has not created and issue at all with the car.
-The front bumper has small rock chips just like any other car that has been driven. It is as close to perfect as possible. Since the car was re-painted, it has probably only been driven about 6-7,000 miles at most (it was painted in 2004). Most was city driving, but a few drives to Rhode Island and CT last year.
-Interior is mint, but there is one 1/8" rip in the headliner. It is absolutely tiny, but I figure It's better for me to tell you now rather than not. Most people wouldn't even say anything but I'm anal about the car

This car is gorgeous, and as flawless as one could ask for on an 8 year old car. I treat this car like a showcar, because it is gorgeous and in such great shape. I bought it back in '01 with 65k and it is just tipping 80k now. I have a jeep also, so I tend to put most of the miles on that. Since it was re-painted, the car has been garaged every winter with a cover on it.
I understand a lot of people are very apprehensive about buying a modified car, but I tried to do it as tastefully as possible. Many of the big parts are still stock, as I could only really afford bolt-ons (besides the nitrous). It has been to the track as I said, and during those times it was raced, but besides that I'm not one to really beat on cars. It has been to redline, because the car is a lot of fun with the bottle on .

Anyways, I hope that's a decent amount of info... If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I'm more than willing to answer. I am in Ireland until May 27th (I'm in class right now ) but I'm online at least once a day.
Thanks!

Anyways, car is still for sale I'm available for people to take a look at it.
