The injection events are not timed with the crankshaft. You can wire the injectors any way you want and it will run exactly the same. I've actually tested this myself.

The reason is because when the megasquirt was first designed it was only meant for fuel-only. It used a tach signal to trigger the fuel injection. Since tach signals are not timed with the crank events, neither was the fuel injection. When the MSNS-E guys added spark control they simply left the fueling scheme as-is since it seemed to work just fine.

I somewhat understand what you are saying, but I didnt wire the injectors backwards, I totally miss-wired them so they arent firing in the proper firing order. For instance, cylinder 1&2 fire together and 3&4 fire together instead of the 1&4 and 2&3 order. So to my understanding, only one cylinder would be getting fuel during the proper stroke therefore getting spark blowout.

Does this make any sense?
