I think there should be a memorial, however I don't think we need to be posting up pictures. I understand the logic behind it, I personnaly just find it inappropriate. A brief story about the accident should be enough to make people think twice. If all the stories don't help, a picture or 2 isn't going to either.
Not to mention family members and friends will probably want positive things posted so they can reflect back on the good times. They probably don't want to see pictures of the worst event that has ever happened to them every time they want to add something to the thread.
So...
I vote for a memorial, without disturbing images.
