Maybe he mistyped or we are interpreting wrong, I know that caught my eye too.

Well, there is one way... if you get an aftermarket BOV and set it way too tight (which it seems some people do, you know it when it makes a sound more like a turkey gobble or laughing hyena than just a nice psssshhhhh) it would also cause the compressor to surge slightly so would accelerate wear on the turbo.
