why is it that it seems that like 50% of us do seem to have oil leaking OUT from inside the turbo inlet??

i know some people think it's blow by coming from the driver side pcv vent and thru the intake, but many guys run an aftermarket intake and only have a little K & N filter on their driver side valve cover, and still get oil buildup aroud the inside of the intake pipe where it attaches to the turbo inlet.

That's scary, IMO... and speaking of Garret turbos my other car has a Garret turbo, and I know on that turbo, if you get oil buildup like that that means your seal or bearing is blown.... I keep cleaning it and I keep getting more, scary.

But yeah, compressor surge = torture on your turbos bearings, and in really severe cases can actually start breaking blades on the compressor.
