All the car factorys, Chrysler included, try too keep the cost of the vehicle down by using the cheapest shit they can get away with. A good example would be the battery clamps currently in use. They are way junk but they get the job done! Usually aftermarket parts are higher quality...that's how the aftermarket makes money.
