Thanks for the quick work. Unfortunately, your problem was not identical to mine. If you were at 3000 rpm at stop, you had a different problem. Mine drops immediately to 1100 when the speedo hits zero. And yes, I know that 1100 is high. Mine only stays at 3000 when there is motion, be it forward or backward.
